Rewriting The Game 1997
Created on Fri, 25 Sep 2026 18:15:22 GMT
Takes the test become more and more paranoid in an attempt to pre-empt the game gathers "clues" they form subplots subplots: friend is trying to steal his money his daughter his hiding something his brother is going insane his fathers death becomes contested 1/2 through the movie its revealed that the most irrelevant subplot (his daughter hiding something) is just a lame birthday party (this is the end of the game) bizarre shit continues he spirals believing the game is still going on (it was never said to have stopped) he cant stop seeing how potential threats believes there is some kind of grand narrative in which all of the subplots would combine and be resolved at once he goes crazy on a rando he hits him back (somehow proving that he is not an agent of the game) epiphany, he understand that the real game was his life and the way you play is paying attention and that there is no single over arching truth there are threads you can infinity pull on he compartmentalizes and solves all of his problems tackling them one at a time in an isolated manner, not trying to solve everything at once life is a series of mingames, it also has interactive events, life is strange
